Sonia has an exciting announcement coming soon. Check back often to hear what God is doing!
We often pray for the book “Rise Up My Beloved” and we pray that the book will touch lives and minister life to those who read it. Today, we received a report that greatly encouraged us. We wanted to share this with you. Please keep us and the book in your prayers so that many will be reached for the Kingdom of God. Please keep in mind that the Lord still has His eyes on the lost and those who are alone or maybe struggling tonight.
Hi! I just wanted to say that I just finished reading your book, it really helped me and wanted to say you’re a very strong woman to have gone through all of what you went through. Now it’s time I start healing. I wanted to thank you for writing something so beautiful.. I didn’t realize I had things hidden so deep in my own life. My life is similar to yours. But I just thought I’d tell you how your book changed my life & it put a hunger in my heart for The Lord! I got the book from a friend who purchased it at the Lott Thunder convention in Winnipeg Manitoba. Your book is really something, and I will pass it on to others.. I will keep it going to my fellow sisters and brothers. I really did love every chapter and every scripture. Your story is really inspiring to get to know the Lord and to have more faith in him. Thank you so much Sonia. God bless, I just love him so much and I’m overwhelmed by his love right now. I thought I was alone but I realized I have a Heavenly Father who loves me!! Have a good day & God bless you.
The Spirit of the Lord was present with us this morning. A powerful anointing was present as Sonia spoke of enduring through fiery trials and the sifting of Satan when he comes to test our faith. It was incredible to see and to hear the response of the people to the word of God.
Derek brought forth a convicting word on carrying a burden to reach the lost and many responded to the altar call.
A BIG thank you to Pastor Dave & Donna Hepburn of the New Life Community Church for inviting us to come minister to their wonderful congregation. We hope to see you all again soon.
A conversation between the Heavenly Father and a modern-day Christian.
“I am your child, God. Because I am your child, and you are the King of Kings, I am therefore royalty. Therefore I am legally entitled to everything in your kingdom. I want all the benefits of the kingdom given to me. I want the best house, the best car, the highest paying job, people to serve me, I want the most beautiful or handsomest and loving spouse, I want them to love and worship me as the only person on earth. I deserve to be treated with respect and honour, I am after all your child. I am a King’s child. And because of that, God, I deserve the best of everything. And I know you love me and I will love you so much more for all of these blessings you have given and are going to give me.”
“Yes child you are mine. You have been adopted into my family, and I will love you no less than my first begotten, Jesus Christ. Look to Him and His example of how I blessed Him with all of these things; although He had no home of His own, I gave Him the warm earth as His bed during the cold nights. Although He held no job, I clothed Him with a single garment that was torn from His body on the day of His death. Although He had no wife, I promised Him a spotless Bride that continues to play the harlot everyday dishonouring my precious firstborn. Although He was a King, those that I sent Him unto despised Him and rejected Him. They struck Him and spilled His precious and sinless blood upon the earth. Although His name has been lifted high and above every name in heaven and earth and is to be worshipped by every creature, His name is reviled and cursed above every name by men upon the earth. And yet upon Him, rested all of my love so much so that I called Him, My Beloved and Only Begotten Son. Yes my adopted child, I will love and bless you no less than I loved and blessed Him.”

If you have kept in touch with us through the website or through the Facebook site, you will know that Rise Up My Beloved was recommended and promoted by respected aboriginal Evangelist, Lott Thunder, at his recent convention held in Winnipeg, Manitoba October 5-7, 2012. Book sales at the convention were satisfactory. Each time a book is sold we always pray that someone’s life will be touched and changed through reading the book. Many times we don’t hear a report of what is happening in people’s lives through the book. But just this past week, we received a report from a gentleman from Poplar Hill First Nation in northern Manitoba, a fly-in community. Most of the time any report we’ve heard has come from aboriginal women. Although we’ve had men of God encourage us, we’ve never had an aboriginal male report to us that they had read the book. Well, this gentleman not only told us how reading the book touched and blessed him, but he also wanted to purchase five more copies to give to young people in his reserve! It is amazing how the book is encouraging others and bringing hope to others.
Sonia often updates her Facebook page with reports and thoughts that the Lord places in her heart. In one recent posting she commented how others have frowned upon her for her lack of education and Bible training. The responses that came in from that posting completely blew us away! A young lady, whom we had never met, but knew of Sonia through a mutual friend, told us how she had read the book and it completely gave her hope that she too could be saved. Here is an excerpt from her message:
I wanted to let you know how inspiring your story was to me. I was a drug addict for the past five years. In those five years I’ve experienced a lot of things that I thought I would never ever do — some things similar to your story. I was … very shameful of myself. I was always worried about what people thought of me… It was only when I read your story, it was like it took a heavy load off my shoulders. It showed how you can be the lowest of the low. And THE LORD will deliver and heal you from all that. Even when no one else could, no matter how hard they tried or how much positive they fed me. Your story made me realize how much THE LORD LOVES AND CARES FOR ME. AND WHAT HE CAN DO FOR ME. I’d like to take this time to thank you because your story gave me hope like I never had before, and my Faith stronger then before!!!! THANK YOU SONIA. AMEN.

A couple of years ago, a precious and beautiful little girl from a small town in southern Ontario was abducted from her school. The story made national headlines and it shook the nation and planted fear in the hearts of parents across the country. At the request of people who were close to the family, Sonia had an opportunity to lead a community prayer vigil for the family. She was able to give a copy of the unedited book to the distraught mother. Just this past week, we heard from her. And what we heard completely floored us! Here is an excerpt from her message:
Sonia, your testimony brought me through the darkest time in my entire life. I’m learning to reach out to others to find my faith again and I’m writing a book about my daughters life, her disappearance, what we went through and how we’re surviving so that if God forbid anything like that ever happens again, I can help people through a time where they need guidance. Even if you saved one damaged soul, and I know you sure helped me, then your mission is accomplished!
Our hearts have been greatly encouraged this past couple of weeks. Yet, in spite of all of these encouraging reports, the enemy continues to fight us at every turn determined to bring us despair and discouragement. And so we ask you brothers and sisters to keep us in prayer.
Earlier this year, we read the story in the link below and it broke our hearts. We knew that somehow we needed to get a word to this First Nation. We sought the Lord in prayer to make a way to reach the people of this community. We wanted to get copies of RISE UP MY BELOVED into the hands of the people of Cat Lake, Ontario (located over 1000 kms north in bush country Northern Ontario).
It was about three weeks later that we attended special services in Kettle Point, Ontario (in southern Ontario) where we met a wonderful couple who would be travelling into Cat Lake just a few days later. The Lord had made a way and we were able to give this “missionary” couple ten copies of the book to handout to whomever they felt led to give one to. We could not remember their names, nor did we have their contact info; but just today, we received a friend request on Facebook from a woman from Cat Lake who told us how much the book has been a blessing to her. She has passed the book on to members of her family. Others as well have received the book. The Lord is touching people in Cat Lake through the book. Praise God!!! This has greatly encouraged us and fanned the flames beneath us to see this book reach every First Nation community in Canada and the USA!!
